Back in Athens

We are home again, after spending the final two weeks of the summer holiday on Tinos. The strong wind played havoc with our attempts to chill out on the beach, but much fun was had painting stones (a new hobby) and chasing boys (the girls, not me...)

Laying down the law

8.30 p.m. last night:

"No, Phoebe, it is our job as parents to introduce you to things that we know are good for you, not things that you think you want. And that is why we are going to see Some Like It Hot tonight and not Hotel for Dogs."

Back in Athens for a few days. Just time to note that Emily has declared her intention to become a vegetarian (despite her aversion to 99% of vegetables - presumably she will be following the Miley Cyrus diet) and that Phoebe has taken to committing the unpardonable fashion faux-pas of wearing socks with sandals (this is, according to Nevi, to be blamed on the fact that she is half-English...)
